| Monday, September 01, 2008 | | | | Ten years ago, in October 1998, our Single Gourmet newsletter announced that the LA and OC chapters had merged and The Single Gourmet of LA/OC was born! Separately, both chapters had existed since the very early Nineties. Countless are the connections between members who married after meeting at a Single Gourmet dinner in OC or LA. Since we are just a dining club, we do not have a system for tracking marriages. However, the weddings of which we are aware number 36, for an average of one every six months! And some of the SG marriages are bi-county connections! Just a hunch, but our statistics may be better than those of the businesses that charge big bucks to be matchmakers! We believe in serendipitous matches. Do something you enjoy doing, with people who have similar interests. Concentrate on having fun, and you might meet the love of your life.
