| Saturday, March 15, 2008 | | | Love at times is on the menu! We're a dining club by design; by accident, sometimes were're matchmakers.
Bob and Linda recently married. They originally met at a Single Gourmet dinner at the Ritz Restaurant in Newport Beach on May 26, 2006. A few weeks later, he danced with her at our Anniversary Dinner Dance at Prego in Irvine. Eight months later, he proposed. They married on August 26, 2007 and celebrated with family and friends at Bistango. Bob and Linda recently sent us a note to convey appreciation for the comfortable environment which allowed them to meet and "create an amazing life together." We wish them everlasting love and happiness.
This just in: Linda M. and Richard R. met at one of our Wildfish dinners in Newport Beach in 2006. It was his first SG event; he never even said hello to anyone else. They found each other in the bar. At dinner they sat together and shared a bottle of wine. It all sounds like a fairy tale....love at first bite! They recently became engaged to be married, and we wish them an eternity of love and joy.
You never know when a new man or woman will join our dining club and show up for their first dinner. Linda dined with us frequently over several years, while Richard found true love at his first dinner.
