We’ve Uncovered the Holy Grail of Dating!
Where to go and meet singles? Take fate into your hands and lord only knows what might happen! In the last month, we’ve spent so much time trying to ferret out the places and situations that we think would be fun for us that it ceased to matter whether or now we got hooked up romantically or not!
Remember that the destination is in the journey itself! When attending these events: Have Fun. Don’t go just looking to meet the man or woman of your dreams right there and then. If you’re desperate, it shows and the magic rarely happens. But you can look forward to just going out and having a good time!
The Single Gourmet
The Single Gourmet hosts monthly single dinners/get togethers where fun professional/business caliber men and women share a great meal and wine. I guess you could say they are a dining club for single people in and around Los Angeles and Orange County (don’t get confused; they are not a dating service or a matchmaking service). There is an annual membership fee and you still pay for your dinners on top of that.
The Way It Works:
The number of people participating range from 6 to 8 people on most evenings, but sometimes their event can attract as many as 20-40 people. You show up an hour prior to dinner and get introduced to the others by the host. Be sure to tell the host if someone catches your eye, and if the interest is mutual, you just might end up sitting by that person. The menu is pre-arranged with a choice of entrees. You pre-pay an all-inclusive event price to the Single Gourmet for the dinner (eliminating the scrutinizing of the bill).
The Single Gourmet is also available in other cities: NY, Boston, Rhode Island, Norfolk (Virginia), New Orleans, Dallas and Austin, TX, Chicago, San Francisco, Canada & Hawaii.
